Frames

Our frames comes in three standard frame colours: 

Tulipwood, which is a light coloured, treated wood, that you can see most clearly with the small framed shirt example.

Black, which has a satin finish.

Brushed silver.

Glazing

All frames come with safe styrene acrylic glazing (or glass if you can collect). these are bespoke, made to measure display frames at sensible prices, and made to fine art trade guild standards.

Hanging

We enclose two suitable D-Ring hanging fixtures for the weight of this item, plus screws. So you can fix these in and hang the display frame either way up. We highly recommend that you hang this on TWO secure fittings (two picture hooks). We cannot pre-fit these, as we do not know which way up you will want to hang the frame. Fit these last. The cord supplied is rated to over 100lb/45kg, although your finished frame and contents will weigh about the same as an ordinary picture frame the same size.

Before ordering we recommend you fold the shirt or arrange it roughly how you intend it to look in the frame, and then measure it so that you can order a suitable size frame.  

To make things easy everything is inserted or removed from the back, with the case face down on a dust free surface.

1) The clips on the back lift and turn (they are sprung). Turn them so that they are flat along the back of the frame moulding to keep them off the back, and the MDF back will simply lift out.

2) Remove the foamcore item backing.

3) Remove the spacer slip (which you can paint your team's colour if preferred)

4) Remove the mount (if supplied).

5) Attach your shirt to the foamcoare item backing: We suggest that you pin the shirt or stitch it lightly. Don’t worry too much about the bottom, as gravity will keep it straight and level once you have attached the top. You may wish to pin it “around” the board, inserting pins into the board edge. This is a simple and very secure method - you will find that the board has been specially cut with an allowance to enable you to do this if required. The backing board will go onto the back once you have the inner board in place with the shirt attached. NOTE: The board is cut with a small allowance and is a few millimeteres smaller than the spacer rebate where it sits. This is intentional; to allow shirt sleeves to be wrapped behind if required. You may also use some of the supplied bubble-wrap to fill between the foamcore and MDF back if required. And, if required, you can very simply trim this board further with a craft knife or sharp scissors, but this is not normally required.

6) You will need to remove the plastic protective layer from the glazing. This simply peels off. Leave this till you are finished, so that it remains clean, and try to guard against static attracting dust and bits and pieces to it as you remove the protective layers on each side. Take care, this material scratches much more easily than glass. Place the glazing back into the frame.

7) Replace the mount (if supplied) back into the frame.

8) Replace the spacer back into the frame.

9) Replace the Backing (with your item now attached), into the frame.

10) Replace the frame back and slide the sprung clips back into place.
