Paul O'Donnell is barmy about pies. Of course it’s only natural that an Aussie should feel this way, but what makes him different is his determination to share this pie obsession with the world. And so, putting his passion where his mouth is, Paul has taken the opportunity to create a range of quality pies in his home away from home, the UK.

And so, developed from original recipes, we now proudly present for your enjoyment, the Humble Pie.

Why the big noise about Humble Pie? Well this is no ordinary pie. It’s an exciting pie, one that’s affordable, naturally produced, and prepared with mouth-watering, home-cooked care. 

Pies are our lives. We look at any delicious food and ask: “can we put it in a pie?” 

If the answer is yes, wondrous things soon happen. The fillings are prepared to our chefs’ own seasonal recipes, so they’re as delicious as they are nutritious. 

We use only the finest natural ingredients, organic where possible, fresh and locally sourced in the UK. Needless to say there are no additives, preservatives or trans-fats. 

Our master bakers have developed a unique pastry recipe from high protein wheat to create a crust that’s tasty, delicate and yet strong enough to hold our sumptuous fillings. 

Freshly baked and freshly served, the Humble Pie is a nourishing hot meal in a cozy, convenient form. 

Or as Paul likes to say: “a scrumptious meal to have and hold.”

Having enjoyed a steaming cup of Bovril and a pie at football ground’s up and down the land, I wanted to find a pie company that stood out in the crowd for Football Emporium.

I won’t pretend I understand trans-fats or preservatives, but I know what I like, and Humble Pies are quite possibly the best I have had. Certainly since the team coach stopped off on the way back from away trips to South London at Manzies Pie shop many decades ago - Although I do recall a most enjoyable half-time Potato and Meat pie at Burnden Park.

Anyway, digressing again; Humble Pie make truly great pies, and I have selected the most familiar fayre for football and pie fans like myself. They come in trays of 12 pies of each variety.

PIES

Beef & Country Vegetable

Generous tender pieces of braised British beef with country vegetables in a delicious rich gravy, all encased in our special pastry.

Chicken & Country Vegetable

Succulent chunks of locally sourced chicken with country vegetables in a delicious creamy sauce, all encased in our special pastry.

Chicken, Avocado and Brie   

All nestled in a white Béchamel sauce with butternut squash and a touch of Dijon mustard (made ‘from scratch’ in our humble kitchens). 

Mediterranean Vegetable Pie   

Courgettes tossed in a fresh pesto sauce, with red and white roasted onions and aubergines. Topped with our homemade melanzane (zesty tomato) sauce and cherry tomatoes.
